Sharmila Bhagwandeen is the principal and owner of SharmiLaw, a firm dedicated to delivering top-tier legal representation with a client-focused approach. A proud Miami native, Ms. Bhagwandeen earned her Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a concentration in Communication Studies, from the University of Florida.
As a dedicated attorney with over a decade of legal experience, she brings a comprehensive understanding of litigation, personal injury, and criminal law to every case she handle.
After being admitted to the Florida Bar, Sharmila returned to Miami and began her career practicing private criminal defense at the Feiler Law Firm. Her work as an advocate for the YES ON 2 Campaign, which successfully legalized Medical Marijuana in Florida, saw her traveling throughout the state to educate the public on the nuances of medical marijuana law and its conflicts with federal regulations.
Following her passion for delivering effective counsel and advocating for justice, Sharmila founded SharmiLaw to serve clients in need of skilled representation in business litigation, personal injury, and criminal matters, including DUI cases and expungements. Her approach combines rigorous legal expertise with a personal touch, ensuring each client’s case receives the attention and care it deserves. She has honed her skills in both the courtroom and at the negotiating table.
